According to an urban legend, a shinigami can relieve people of their suffering. This "Angel of Death" has a name: Boogiepop. And the legend is true. Boogiepop really exists. When several high school girls from Shinyo suddenly go missing, the police and the school believe they are dealing with a series of runaways. But some high school students don't agree. Something strange and sinister is brewing. Could it be Boogiepop, or an even more sinister phenomenon?
