Kimi ni Todoke

Kuronuma Sawako wishes to do good for those around her, and to do so, must begin by succeeding in making friends with her classmates. This is difficult to do because they are terrified by the young girl's appearance, which leads to her being associated with the image of Sadako (see the film "The Ring"). Despite everything, Sawako doesn't resent them, and she even tries to use this embarrassing situation to get closer to them. Although she would much rather become someone liked and popular, like the handsome Kazehaya. According to her, he is a sociable and pleasant young man, someone "refreshing" and kind to everyone, including herself. What she doesn't know yet is that he is actually much more sensitive to Sawako's presence than to that of the other girls around him.
