Upon turning 16, the government announces who our future wife will be. It is the fundamental law to combat the declining birth rate. It is also called the Yukari Law. There's no longer any need to bother searching on one's own; the State guarantees everyone someone with whom they have chemistry, and everyone accepts this "happiness." In this world, the hero of this story, Nejima Yukari, 15 years old, has feelings for Takasaki Misaki. On the eve of his 16th birthday, he resolves to reveal his feelings to her. However, he receives a notification from the government. Who, then, is the girl with whom the red thread of science has tied him? Is this world, where a government has full power over our romantic lives, just? This, then, is the story of a forbidden, futile, and innocent love, in which the fervent and pure feelings of young boys and girls intertwine.
